The League of Legends MSI 2022 Rumble Stage in Busan, South Korea has officially come to an end. It was definitely very stressful for the fans, but after the dust settled, the major regions triumphed.
This left RNG, the champions of League of Legends LPL 2022 Spring Split, as well as the current defending champions as the frontrunners of the Rumble Stage. As a result, the Chinese juggernauts had the luxury of picking their opponents for the knockout stages.

Their choices were T1, G2 Esports, and Evil Geniuses, which finished second, third, and fourth after Day 5 of the Rumble Stage ended. RNG had chosen their opponent and the full schedule along with dates and other details were provided in the article below.

Before we continue with the schedule, below are the final standings after Day 5 of the League of Legends MSI 2022 Rumble Stage:
Thus, the teams that made it to the knockout stages are RNG, T1, G2 Esports and Evil Geniuses. With RNG taking first place, the Chinese champions were given the opportunity to choose between one of the remaining three as their semi-final opponents.
According to LoL Esports official report, RNG has gone for Evil Geniuses. This means that T1 and G2 Esports will play for a place in the Grand Finals in Sunday’s other semi-final match.
Obviously this is a pretty understandable choice as RNG picked a team that is definitely the weakest of the three. T1 is definitely hard to pick in a semifinal game.
That being said, despite some sloppy performances, G2 Esports is always a menace when it comes to best-of-five scenarios. It’s always important to remember that best-of-three games are volatile and even the best team in the world can lose to the worst team on any given day.

This semi-final match is very reminiscent of League of Legends MSI 2019, where Team Liquid faced Invictus Gaming and G2 Esports faced T1. From these games, Team Liquid and G2 Esports emerged victorious, with the latter taking the title in the end.
