A total of 6 teams will participate in Asia Cup 2022. These are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh Afghanistan. After the qualifying round, another team qualifies for the tournament. In the qualifying round, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and UAE are the 4 teams competing against each other.
The winning team takes 6th place in the tournament. There are two groups at the Asia Cup 2022. Group 1 has India, Pakistan and the qualifying team. Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The venue of the tournament is the United Arab Emirates. However, Sri Lanka is the host of the tournament. Sri Lanka should host the tournament in their country. However, due to the ongoing political unrest in the country, they had to change the venue of the tournament to the United Arab Emirates.
As the UAE is the venue of the tournament, stadiums such as Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium are the three stadiums where all matches will be held.
